10/06/2006 Entry: "Unicycling McKenzie River Trail"

I Unicycled part of the McKenzie River Trail a week or so ago. We rode from Clear Lake down past the Koosah and Sahalie Falls, down to Carmen Reservoir, and then back up to the falls. We parked at the falls and then hitch hiked 5 miles up the road to where we picked up the trail. Check out the map if you happen to not have the area memorized. (slackers)

I rode with my buddy Scott whom I met through the unicyclist.com forums. He is one of the folks who took me riding at Mary's Peak when I first moved out here. He has been giving me a tour of local trails since.

Plllleeeeaase check out the pictures. They are some of the best I've taken yet. This trail is beautiful. I plan on taking some overnight hikes up there with Qehn when we get some better gear. It's about an hour from our house going east into the Cascade Mountains.
