"Hola, mi nombre es Brian. ¡Soy un miembro de los jugglers de GreyMatter! Puedo saltar muy alto, uniforme sobre boleadoras del rola. ¡Mi milkshake trae a todos los muchachos a la yarda! ¡Usted tiene razón maldito, él es mejor que el tuyo!"

¡Gracias los pescados de Babel!

I get to give an hour+ long talk tomorrow for a class on American Roadtrips. I get to pretty much tell stories from my bike trips and show them a slideshow. The only hard part is going to be ONLY talking for a bit over an hour. I could tell stories from those two trips all day - not to mentions how-to's on how to squat, dumpster dive, not get stabbed, and even hitchhike (although I'm by no means an expert on hitching.)

And, SHOW ON FRIDAY!

Why My Room is Cool

~begin~

Looking around I can see:

  • Several sets of Profile Cranks (no, I didn't pay that much for them)

  • Several Garbage posters

  • Piles of computer parts from the three computers I've built/rebuilt this month

  • A bent GB4 Miyata stiffener plate

  • An undamaged Reeder Handle

  • Unicycle.com and Banjo.com bumper stickers

  • Both of my monitors - one which is currently being used to reformat and instal XP on my pos downstairs movie watching computer instead of it's usual extended desktop function

  • Four Unicycles and a bike

  • Thirty-four (34) Spider Plants

  • Beavis and Butthead bobbleheads

  • Ass-loads of tools, incense burners, microbio schwag, a monkey, growlights, blinky router, flying stuffed dragon, a fish, and just about anything else cool that I'd ever want to look at while in a room.

~end~

I spent part of my "christmas money" on unicycle parts this year. I finally have the parts that I've been hunting/waiting for since around 2004-2005. I got a killer deal on (unbreakable) profile hub/cranks w/ wheelset, GB4 frame, and some other random parts I needed. The short of it is that now have two muni's, one unbreakable and my old slightly breakable one that I can use as a loaner so I don't have to ride alone anymore. I also have longer cranks on my new one to make climbing and descending easier.

The new one is pretty, although I made it muddy today.

For those of you who can make sense of the stats here they are:
Profile Ponzantor hub, 160mm Profile cranks (I also have 170mm and 150mm for swapping), 24x3" Nokian Gazzaloddi tire, Alex-DX 32 rim, Kona Jack-Shit pedals, Custom GB4 frame, GB4 universal seatpost 1", Primo Seatpost clamp, Miyata Airseat w/ GB4 stiffener plate, Roach seat cover w/ Gir patch, Reeder handle w/ lock grip.

To see all my unis check out my facebook page, because, yes, I am a big enough bike nerd that I have facebooks for my unicycles and bikes.

Alright folks, it's organ donor talk time. Hopefully none of you are dying anytime soon, but preparing for the unknown is a part of life. So read on.

As most of you know I'm an organ donor. However, just having it marked on my license isn't enough. I also needed to let you all know that I am. (Like I just did, yay!)

Furthermore, I needed to register with the national organ donor database. Oregon's is at DonateLifeNW.org. Iowa's is at The Iowa Donor Registry. If you aren't in Oregon or Iowa then find your state here. If you don't register with these people, than you aren't an organ donor - no matter what is marked on your license.

For information about who can donate, what can be donated, the need for minority donors, and religious views on donation go to OrganDonor.gov. There are currently around 100,000 people on the donor waiting list, and only a small percentage of Americans are donors. That means many, if not most, of those 100,000 are going to die waiting. More statistics can be found here.

On the topic of religion - most religions are OK with it. Personally, I think any God that wouldn't be OK with you donating your organs wouldn't be worth worshiping anyway.

Finally, make sure you talk about this with your significant other, parents, kids, relatives, friends, etc. They will be the ones advocating for you after your're gone.

Believe it or not I am a busy, busy bee. I've had three sets of house guests since my last post, rebuilt two computers, scheduled two juggling shows, and been knee deep in TRS and GMJ business.

Although it was fun, Zach and we went to the coast and did hiking and exploring. Peter, Jamie, and we hiked Spencer Butte and hung out with raptors. Cuz Tom came and we drank some beer and played nintendo... actually... I think we did the beer and nintendo thing with all of 'em... Some even got to participate in "Game Night," usually involving Sammy and our neighbors. All in all a pretty good time.

And busy. Sooo busy. My to do list for TRS and GMJ is so friggin' huge right now.
