12/14/2005 Entry: "more unicycling"

Mark and I redid the uni trials course and made it a bit harder/more dangerous in the process. I decided to post a short compilation video of our new attempts. Unfortunately, for annoying reasons the second we turn on the camera we get shitty and nervous, so this isn't the best riding we can do on the thing. We have a lot more pogo style hopping to regain balance and shitty landings and such on video than in real life. No, really. We don't suck. Really. Please believe me. I'm lame.

Anyway, the camera also stops recording automatically after 30 seconds, so you'll see some of my stuff stop abruptly, one time mid jump and another time riding the "stupid skinny" from the 5 pallet stack to the 4 pallet stack. I actually landed both moves... stupid camera. Oh well. This is the first video I have of myself riding online. Previously it was just Mark. YOU CAN SEE MY NEW HELMET! WEEE SAFETY! (and yes, I do have leg armor under my pants):

Andrew Carter's 8 minute movie (DIVX, 50megs) This video is some of the best unicycle riding you'll ever see. He lives in New Zealand and will blow your mind. DEFINITELY worth the download time. (He uses an actual 20 inch trials cycle for his trials riding and a 24 inch Muni for the trail riding. Mark and I are using 24 inch Muni's which aren't designed for trials, but we're poor)
